What is Freedom Day? Labor Day is in September, and Independence Day is in July. Those days were set aside to reflect on our nation's independence from England as well as the labor of the working men and women of America. May 1 is designated as Freedom Day. This day we celebrate those most American Values - Freedom and Individual Liberty.	The Freedom Day Foundation, a Minnesota not for profit corporation, was established to facilitate the citizenry of Minnesota in celebrating the day. Each May 1, the Freedom Day Foundation reserves the Mall at the Capitol in St. Paul, books the Cannon to provide the salutes to Freedom, then invites sponsors and entertainment.
